Radiation Hardened Electronics Design

Services

AET has been organized around a team-based structure to effectively manage the three major activities of the company

·        Research and Development

·        Business Development and Marketing

·        Product Management and Business Administration.

The team concept allows AET to utilize the vast experience of senior members of our management staff, the superior talents and education of our engineering staff, and the unique knowledge of many independent consultants in the Melbourne area, employees of local small businesses, and university faculty from the Florida Institute of Technology.  With this organization, AET can quickly address new opportunities and markets while continuing to serve our existing customer base.

The senior members of the AET management and technical team have a combined experience of over 100 years in the area of radiation hardened integrated circuits.

AET has specialized in the development of models and software tools to improve the quality of radiation hardened integrated circuit designs and silicon-on-insulator devices.  This work has been funded by several agencies of the US Department of Defense, including the US Navy, MDA, DARPA, DTRA, and the US Air Force.  The models involve both bipolar and CMOS technologies and encompass all radiation effects including neutrons, ionizing radiation and single events.

In engineering design activities, AET has had experience in developing and marketing several products aimed at specific system level programs.  Most notably, AET is developing a nuclear event detector circuit for the Trident Life Extension program.  In addition, AET has developed products that address the night vision system arena.  The first of these is called STADIUM FLIR that combines our robust STADIUM statistical simulation technology with a US Army computer model for FLIR simulation.  In addition, AET has developed IR-SIM for modeling infrared detectors and analyzing the cost effectiveness of various system and detector trade-offs.  Together, these products give the designer of infrared systems most of the tools necessary to efficiently perform their jobs.
