Engineering Services
AET has been organized around a team-based structure to effectively manage the three major activities of the company:
- Research and Development Business
- Development and Marketing
- Product Management and Business Administration
AET has specialized in the development of models and software tools to improve the quality of radiation hardened integrated circuit designs and silicon-on-insulator devices. This work has been funded by several agencies of the US Department of Defense, including the US Navy, MDA, DARPA, DTRA, and the US Air Force. The models involve both bipolar and CMOS technologies and encompass all radiation effects including total dose, neutrons, ionizing radiation and single events.
In engineering design activities, AET has had experience in developing and marketing several products aimed at specific system level programs. Most notably, AET is developing a nuclear event detector circuit for the Trident Life Extension program. In addition, AET has developed products that address the night vision system arena. The first of these is called STADIUM FLIR that combines our robust STADIUM statistical simulation technology with a US Army computer model for FLIR simulation. In addition, AET has developed IR-SIM for modeling infrared detectors and analyzing the cost effectiveness of various system and detector trade-offs. Together, these products give the designer of infrared systems most of the tools necessary to efficiently perform their jobs.
